What is BDRMY anyway? BDRMY (Beth David Reform Mishpacha Youth), is Temple Beth David's youth group. Anyone in 6th through 12th grade can join in on the fun!BDRMY events happen at least once a month and are organized by a student board. The student board is made up of teens who want to make the youth group the most it can be. They meet once a month to discuss event ideas and how they can improve from the last event. The goal of the student board is to make every event all it can be and more. BDRMY's high school members are also members of NFTY (North America Federation of Temple Youth) regional events. These events bring teenagers from Temple Youth Groups across the region together for Jewish enrichment and hands-on experiential programming. It costs $36 (6th - 8th graders) and $54 (9th - 12th graders), which includes membership to NFTY! |

Annual BDRMY Retreat The annual BDRMY retreat consists of a 3 day weekend. This starts early Friday evening when everyone is loaded into vans and taken to the destination hot spot of the year, ranging from a ski retreat to a beach retreat, and anything in between. Saturday includes the main event, planned by the student board, sure to be a hit with all. Saturday winds down to dinner, relaxing games, and social time. The final day there, Sunday, brings the trip to an end, with packing up and going into town or making a stop before the long drive back home. If you ask anyone who has gone in the past, they will most definitely have great stories to tell you and amazing memories they cherish!

Annual "Surprise" Event Every year ends with a bang! This event is a surprise to everyone! Rachel and Jason plan out the whole event. This includes a sleepover Friday night and Shabbat service. Then Saturday we are off to mystery location. In the past the events have included Disneyland, City Walk, a beach bonfire, and even Chuck E. Cheese. Every year the surprise event is the last event of the year, usually in May or June. The group gets back late Saturday night after a Havdalah service in a special place.
